My "Big" Problem

When you
look at life and all it throws your way, you are bound to be frustrated and a
little bit disgruntled. I grew up in a God fearing family where all our problems were directed to God. Looking back, I'm amazed at how God came through for me every time I prayed and yet my faith was not as
strong as it is now. Begging the question, "have
my problems become bigger with age?" and if so, will He (God) experience
any difficulty addressing them?
My
problems have always been big, at least in my own eyes. As a child, my big
problem was having a bicycle. Most of the kids in our estate had one. I always wondered if we were in the right estate because unlike us, these kids always seemed to have what they wanted.
mmmh!! I learnt my first lesson: my big problems were little or insignificant
to other people. Problems are relative. Whichever way you look at it, there is
always someone who will not struggle with the same thing you consider to be
difficult. Ask king Belshazzar in Daniel 5:16,17, he had a dream that turned out problematic because he couldn't find its interpretation until he met Daniel or should I say the God of Daniel. Big problems melt before a Big God. There's always one who is bigger than all our struggles.
I
draw a lot of encouragement from this scripture whenever I'm in a difficult
situation; "I will lift my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help
come? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth." (Psalm 121:1,2).
I don't have big problems after all, just barriers that await elimination when God intervenes. Help is on the way!
These are encouraging words to all who feel overwhelmed. Nothing is too big for our God.
